Small Ways to Express to Volunteer Appreciation

Trying to express volunteer recognition when funds are limited can seem a daunting task. But it doesn’t have to be. There are many small ways to recognize the efforts of our volunteers.

One of my favorite things to do is to give refrigerator magnets. I design my own quite simply through Zazzle. They usually say sweet things like: Janey, a special volunteer. Then add our logo.

Via Zazzle it’s easy to upload the logo from a jpeg or gif file, then customize the text on the magnet. I like to include a personal touch by using the volunteer’s name. Single items can be purchased. No need to put out a large investment to meet the minimums usually required by other companies.

Magnets aren’t the only option offered by Zazzle. Keychains, buttons, and tiles are also inexpensive items. Mugs, water bottles, small totebags, notebooks and notepads also work for budget-minded personalized gifts. These are simple options to recognize the efforts of our volunteers. All you need to do is to click on the magnet photo and you will be taken to the page where you can customize the magnet to suit what you want to say, both image and text.
